About Me
"One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world."

Hello, my name is Jared Perez-DeBusk. I was born and raised in a small country town called Brooksville in Florida. After high school, I discovered my passion for teaching, which led me to study public speaking and how to interact with an audience. I eventually got a bachelor’s degree in Communication in Performance Studies from the University of South Florida.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I moved to California and got an opportunity to work as an Instructional Aide for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. This job aims to help them get equal access to education and teach them how to perform in mainstream classrooms so they can be successful. Many deaf students don’t have communication at home, and I want to change that by exposing them to the Deaf community. They can learn how to interact with and approach deaf people.
Due to my passion for teaching, I got accepted into the Master’s in Sign Language Education program and graduated in 2018 from Gallaudet University. My hobby is to explore and hike at Runyon Canyon in California. I like walking alone and enjoying the moment of nature.
